Faith in Action

“Show and Share the Love of God in Jesus Christ”. That’s what we are doing through Faith In Action, here at Trinity Lutheran Church. Here are a few of our ongoing projects. In addition to “Showing and Sharing” these actions help build our community, and the community around us. You are most welcome to join us!

Gerard Place Soup Kitchen

On the 4th Wednesday of each month, teams of volunteers from trinity are now working to serve meals “restaurant style” with food prepared by The Friends of the Night People. This helps to feed the residents at Gerard Place as well as people in the neighborhood. Contact us if you would like to get involved.

TriniKnits

We knit, crochet and purchase hats, scarves and mittens for distribution through area ministries. We also gratefully receive gift cards for Joanne’s and Michael’s to keep our needles moving! Thank you!

Each month we bring non-perishable food items to various Food Pantries in Buffalo. We change the category of foods we are collecting monthly, but all non-perishables are welcome.

Christian Formation

Our mission is to open the hearts and minds to the Word of God for all who participate in our Christian Education program.

Our Christian Education program offers educational opportunities for all from kindergarten age kids to senior citizens.  Sunday school usually meets from 9:00 to 10:00 on Sunday mornings.  Modifications have been made in the frequency of classes and times may be adjusted due to Covid-19.  The topic for our Sunday morning Adult Forum is currently God and the Pandemic, a book by N.T. Wright.

A weekly Bible study, will begin later in the fall.
